The far right Proud Boys leader said he was one of four people stabbed to death after being jumped by a Black Lives Matter mob early Wednesday in Washington, DC.
Enrique Tarrio told The Gateway Pundit that he was cut in the stomach while “several other members” were injured, including a man who was stabbed in the neck and a woman with them who was stabbed in the back.
The group said they went home to a DC bar after the election when they were jumped and stabbed to death.
The livestream video captured some of the brawl – a man walked back to the videographer and said, “I’m bleeding.”
After the attackers escaped, Bevelyn Beatty – a black woman who had previously thrown paint on the Black Lives Matter mural in front of Trump Tower – was seen holding her lower back and saying, “They stabbed me.”
“She’s bleeding really badly!” gasped videographer Jen Loh, a former vice president of Latinos For Trump.
“We just jumped off Black Lives Matter and they just stabbed Bevelyn Beatty,” Oh said in her video, which showed a trail of blood on the sidewalk.
Moments later, Oh went to the man who saw his neck clutched at the beginning of her clip – and suddenly gasped for air. “Oh my god, you got tons of blood off your neck!”
“Yes I will!” said the panicked man, still clutching the wound.
The group signed on police and paramedics and told them, “We just got skipped by Black Lives Matter here.”
DC police said early Wednesday that they were looking for two men in black and a woman in black sweatpants, orange leggings and a dark gray coat – and “armed with a knife”.
Loh told Storyful that the attackers appeared to be targeting Beatty. “If the three or four Proud Boys hadn’t been there, they would have been stabbed to death and really brutally beaten if they hadn’t saved them from the attack,” Loh told the agency.
Tarrio told The Gateway Pundit that the injuries were “very serious but not life threatening”.
“Bevelyn was stabbed to death, as were two proud boys and the guy they attacked. I got slashed, but it’s not serious, “he said.
