In episode 278, astrologers Chris Brennan and Leisa Schaim look back on the astrology of the 2020 US presidential election and reflect on what we as astrologers learned after the result was known.
In the first part of the episode, we discuss the eagerly anticipated Mercury retrograde period, which was stationed right on election day and which coincided with delays in determining the election result.
We then review some technical factors in the candidates’ natal charts that showed the result and discuss what we have learned from some of the different methods astrologers have used.
Later we discuss a few other topics such as the role of bias and the media sources an astrologer uses to provide context, the need to weight or rank surveys of astrological prediction, and then some considerations about the nature of the astrological prediction .
