In 2017, Billie Eilish started the tradition of doing an annual time capsule video Vanity Fairand now she’s back with her fourth. In the video, which was released on November 30, the 28-year-old singer answers the same questions as in the previous interviews, only this time she ponders how the pandemic has allowed her to become more politically involved and informed and what it is most i look forward to the future.
“I’ve learned so much more about the way people live that I didn’t know about it before,” said Billie. “The climate crisis, social injustice and all the bad things have made me think differently. I will never stop fighting for all the black and brown people who have lost their lives to police brutality.”
The Grammy winner also looked back on her professional achievements, including becoming the second person in history to sweep the main categories at the Grammys. “As I get bigger and bigger, I feel more comfortable when I don’t have to prove myself,” she said. “People look up to you to tell them what you would actually tell them yourself.” See what else Billie has to say in the video above.
