Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are leaving Vanderpump Rules

In a long Instagram post Jax Taylor revealed today that he and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, are not returning for another season of the reality show Vanderpump rules.

Taylor has been on the Bravo series for eight seasons and his wife has five seasons. The show focuses on the West Hollywood restaurant SUR. No reason for departure was given.

“The last 8 years later Vanderpump rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding, and fulfilling years of my life, ”Jax wrote on Instagram. “While this is difficult to share, Brittany and I won’t be returning for another season of Vanderpump rules. ”

Although the couple was widely reported to have been fired, TMZ reports:

A source close to Taylor denies the report that he was fired, instead telling us that after speaking with the network, he and Brittany disagreed that the direction of the show was compatible with their new baby and growing family would be. We have been told that there is no such thing as bad blood at Bravo.
