Teddi Mellencamp welcomed Jillian Michaels to her podcast on Friday after news of a possible feud between them surfaced on the internet.
Days after Jillian told the former Real housewives from Beverly Hills Teddi spoke to the performer to “stay on track” after hearing about her responsibility business on a podcast Biggest Loser Trainers about the supposed drama between them before answering questions about their all-in program.
“After reading the sixth press article, I think,” I have to hear what it is, “and you didn’t say anything bad,” Teddi told Jillian on the December 4th episode of Teddi Tea Pod.
“I said,” I don’t know anything about the program, “replied Jillian.
According to Jillian, she was hosted by the # ADULTING Podcast that Teddi had no certifications and no credentials.
“It was very clear to me that I knew nothing about the program and that I had nothing to beat. These two kids just told me you got a rash and then I said, “Okay, does she have the ability to support this?” Jillian recalled.
“You and I have the same certification,” answered Teddi. “People don’t do research. They just want clickbait and they want people to feel nervous about other people.”
“Do you catch a rash for that?” Asked Jillian.
At this point the former RHOBH Castmate, who announced she was leaving the series in September, gave Jillian a rundown of what she’d been through online a few months ago.
“A couple of months ago there was a website called Deux Moi. They were gossiping about different people and posting something from one of my former clients who was a customer in 2016 and who sent those messages about me,” explained Teddi.
While accused of promoting unhealthy diets and dangerous exercise plans, Teddi told Jillian that the disgruntled ex-client was once a superfan.
“She also sent me over 200 DMs like” You are the most beautiful girl in the world “,” I love you “,” You are so funny “. It was one of those unhealthy situations from the start,” she said, adding, that she was also beaten up by an influencer who hadn’t taken the time to get “real evidence” for what she claimed.
After learning more about the backlash Teddi received, Jillian admitted she didn’t understand why people were coming for her when Teddi confirmed that their website clearly explains what their business is about.
“Our website says,” Not everyone is a certified trainer. “All information is completely arranged there. But every single one of my trainers went through the program and changed their life as a result,” remarked Teddi.
At this point, Jillian had a few questions from the ex-reality star.
“Do the people who worked with you to create the program have the required credentials to certify your trainers?” She wondered.
“I made it myself and I have the certifications,” Teddi replied. “When I started my business, I didn’t have any certifications. I just got it from lift experience [but] When I started doing this, I realized, “These are things I want to learn.” Nutritionists looked at the program to make sure it was right. “
“So is it your program, your diet, your workout, you got the certifications and they just coach people through the steps?” Jillian asked again.
“Yeah, that’s the same as Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers,” Teddi replied.
