Days of our Lives fans are happy! Long-time star Bryan Dattilo (Lucas) is back on contract and will play a prominent role in an upcoming storyline slated for 2021.
Deadline reports that the change in the actor’s contract status will be official as of December 14th. Dattilos Lucas will be part of an important ex-wife in history, Sami Brady-DiMera (returning star Alison Sweeney) and daughter Allie (Lindsay Arnold).
Bryan Dattilo originated in 1993 as Lucas (then Roberts) and played the role until 2001. The character was “rested,” and Dattilo returned in 2002, where he stayed until 2010. The actor returned in 2012 and the actor was posted to give the character another “break” despite guest appearing.
Days of our Lives is currently in its 55th season and is produced by Corday Productions, Inc. in association with Sony Pictures Television. Ken Corday is executive producer with co-executive producer Albert Alarr. Ron Carlivati is the lead author. The series will celebrate its 14,000 episodes on December 17, 2020.
