Ralph pittman jr recently opened about its debut season of The real housewives of Atlanta with his wife Drew Sidora.
After the couple struggled on the show, especially after Ralph disappeared for three days, Ralph admitted that he initially didn’t want to be on the show before explaining why he and Drew were at odds during season 13 filming.
“I didn’t want to be there[[[[RHOA]]at all. I didn’t mean to do it. However, when my wife sat down and had our children, I promised her that I would support her career in whatever she wanted to do, “Ralph explained during an interview on December 28th in Rolling Out’s” AM Wake “-Op.
Although Ralph initially completed the idea, he had a change of heart after praying and speaking with his spiritual advisor on the matter.
He said, ‘This show is going to be a blessing to other people. It’s bigger than just you, “Ralph recalled.
Still, he continued, “It wasn’t our goal at all to jump into relationship problems at the beginning.”
According to Ralph, he had a lot to do while filming, including a new role as Drew’s “full-time nurse” and heartbreak over the tragic death of George Floydand needed Drew to listen to what he was going through as an African American.
“Depression and anxiety affect people differently. If these situations actually arise, it is time to say,” Let me see what is really, really wrong with him. Let me see where his condition is, ”he explained. “There are tools you need to recover from any type of trauma and that is it. It was a traumatic experience and it doesn’t go away overnight.”
Because Ralph had been through so much, he eventually left home for three days after getting into an argument with Drew that brought him to his breaking point.
“Between the operation, being the nurse, seeing George Floyd… I was exaggerating. The best thing I could do at the time was vacation, ”he shared. “I didn’t have the tools to get through [what I was feeling]. It was like, “I have to go because I’m in crisis mode.” I went to Tampa. “
When Ralph was asked about the cameras in his house, he made it clear that he was not using them to spy on his wife.
“I have cameras in my house and all over my house. It’s all about safety, ”he insisted. “I’m not the type of stalker. It was a misunderstanding for Drew because she didn’t know what the functionality was. She knows I have cameras that she just didn’t know wherever I have cameras.”
Review of his experience on the RHOAAddressing the backlash from some fans, Ralph said that while he believes the audience has seen who his wife really is, he is more “layered”.
“What you see is just a glimpse of who I am during a traumatic experience. It doesn’t show all of my levels. Hopefully you will see other sides of me throughout the show as you continue to watch,” he explained.
In a quick look at the upcoming episode of RHOA In season 13, Drew and Ralph sit down with a marriage counselor who asks Ralph about his goals for their relationship.
“Respect and sex … at least three times a week. And I think that’s really, really conservative, ”he replies.
Ralph then explains that he wants Drew to stop emasculating him.
“Drew tries to treat me the way her mother treated her father, and that will never work for me,” he notes.
“That’s not true,” replies Drew. “I allow him to be the man he is. I see who Ralph is. I know he’s not my father. And I had to let go of those expectations. “
