Porsha Williams“Sister explains why she didn’t invite Kenya moors to Porsha’s surprise party and reveals a rather surprising, important detail.
On the January 3rd episode of The real housewives of Atlanta, Porsha’s sister, Lauren Williamsorganized a surprise event for Porsha to honor her work within the Black Lives Matter movement. Lauren was seen calling Cynthia Bailey To extend an invitation to the event, at one point during the call, Cynthia asked if Co-Star Kenya was invited. If fans remember, Porsha and Kenya didn’t finish last season (season 12) on the best of terms, and Lauren admitted she didn’t plan on inviting former Miss USA. Ultimately, however, she agreed to allow Cynthia to bring Kenya as her plus.
“I mean, as long as she comes with good intentions,” Lauren explained, and Cynthia promised it wouldn’t be a problem. “I just want this to be all in a good mood,” Porsha’s sister repeated.
Then, as Kenya was preparing for the event, Cynthia called with the bad news. She told Kenya that she had received a text from Lauren and that Kenya was no longer welcome.
Kenya was understandably upset and she immediately broke the infamous fourth wall and began interviewing her production team. “Did you all know about it?” She asked. The production showed that they were unaware of this and “only found out”. The viewers were then “treated” with Kenya, which along with that shaded Porsha’s true subjects Daily dish two arrests of the host during the protest.
After the episode aired, Lauren took to Instagram to explain her decision and why she felt the need to play it safe by disapproving of her sister’s co-star and sometimes her enemy.
“She’s had my back since she slept [the] The hospital waiting room with me the night Papa died until the day we buried him (pictured) to sleep on the hospital floor while I worked with Bales, and every day since then “Lauren wrote. “I will protect her at all costs [every time]. That will never change. “
Lauren went on to explain that she informed Cynthia about her “change of heart” in good time. So, according to Lauren, it was Cynthia who was the one who messed up, waiting until the last minute to tell Kenya about it.
“I changed my mind inside [two] Hesitating to extend the invitation for hours, ”she explained. “My heart change text was broadcast over 24 hours before the party and only [two] Hours after the invitation. “
In another post, Lauren thanked those who helped make the party special, “purposeful” and “peaceful”.
“Honoring Porsha for all of her sacrifices and reminding me of the WHY during this movement was my goal and I couldn’t have done it without you,” Lauren explained.
As it turns out, Lauren probably made the right decision in banning Kenya because the former beauty queen continues to question Porsha’s authenticity within the BLM movement by accusing her of using the movement to combat her “bad image” .
