Villanova is again pausing all men’s basketball activities due to COVID-19 issues in the program, and the Wildcats’ next three games have been postponed.
The Wildcats were scheduled to play for DePaul on Tuesday, Marquette on Friday and Xavier on January 13th. All three games have been postponed.
Villanova suspended team activities last week after head coach Jay Wright and another employee tested positive for COVID-19 and the Wildcats’ game against Xavier, scheduled for January 2, was postponed. In early December, Villanova postponed a game against St. John’s scheduled for December 30th so that the families of the Wildcats players could come to campus over Christmas.
The Wildcats had returned to training on Sunday after last week’s break, but team activities are suspended again a day later.
Villanova, 3rd in this week’s Associated Press poll, stands 8-1 but has not played since a win at Marquette on December 23.
