Leclerc is the fifth current Formula 1 driver to test positive for COVID-19.
McLaren’s Lando Norris tested positive earlier this month, while Lewis Hamilton, Lance Stroll and Sergio Perez all missed races last season due to the virus.
Formula 1 recently released a revised racing schedule for 2021, which was changed due to travel restrictions related to the pandemic. The first Grand Prix took place on March 28th in Bahrain.
