Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant was banned from the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night for Achilles rehab.
Durant played the Cavaliers in the Nets double overtime for over 50 minutes on Wednesday, scoring 38 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists.
Friday is also the first night of a back to back, as the Nets are scheduled to play the Miami Heat on Saturday. Durant has played two games in a row this season, against the Nuggets on January 12 and the Knicks on January 13.
Durant said one of his goals after his Achilles injury was to be able to play back to back. In June 2019, he tore his right Achilles tendon.
He’s averaged 31.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game this season.
