Lady Gaga’s two French bulldogs, stolen by thieves who shot and wounded the dog walker, were recovered unharmed on Friday, Los Angeles police said.
A woman took the dogs to the LAPD’s Olympic Community Police Station, northwest of downtown, around 6:00 p.m., said Captain Jonathan Tippet, commander of the department’s elite robbery-murder division.
Lady Gaga’s agents and detectives went to the train station and confirmed they were the dogs, Tippet said.
The singer is currently in Rome to make a film.
The woman who dropped the dogs appears “uninvolved and unrelated to the Wednesday night attack,” Tippet said.
It wasn’t immediately clear how she got the dogs.
Dog walker Ryan Fischer was once shot dead while running three of the singer’s dogs in Hollywood. The video showed a white limousine pulling up and two men jumping out. They fought the dog walker before one pulled a gun and fired a single shot before escaping with two of the dogs. The third escaped and has since been reunited with the representatives of Lady Gaga.
On the video, the dog walker can be heard saying he was shot in the chest. He is expected to survive his injuries, Tippet said.
Lady Gaga reiterated her offer of a $ 500,000 reward for returning her dogs, whose names are Koji and Gustav, on Friday with no questions asked. Tippet said that since the police were not involved in the reward, he did not know if the woman would receive it.
“I still love you, Ryan Fischer. You risked your life to fight for our family. You are forever a hero, “said Lady Gaga in an Instagram post.
