If you lose your temper during a flight, it will hurt your wallet.
A passenger who allegedly slapped a Delta flight attendant in the face on a flight from Miami to Atlanta in October is facing a proposed $ 27,500 fine.
Federal Aviation Administration officials announced the penalty on Friday, ABC News reported.
The pilots then returned to the gate and the flight attendants asked the two passengers to disembark.
“In response, the passenger accompanying the non-compliant traveler ignored the flight attendant’s instructions, started yelling at the flight attendant and other passengers with explosions, and slapped the flight attendant under her left eye,” the FAA said.
The FAA said last month it would crack down on unruly passengers without warning. They said fines could go up to $ 35,000 and passengers could be jailed.
