Turshen has worked on and co-authored over 10 cookbooks covering a variety of cuisines from Vietnamese dishes to bread from around the world. In 2016 she published her first solo cookbook. Small victories: recipes, advice + hundreds of ideas for triumphs in home cooking. This book was recognized by NPR and The New York Timesand huh second book, Feed the resistance was named the best cookbook by Eater in 2017. In 2018, Turshen’s third book was named Amazon’s Best Cookbook of the Year and an NPR Great Read. Now Turshen is publishing her fourth book, Just Juliaon March 2nd with a healthier perspective on the satisfying, yet simple, comfort food it is known for.
Before Turshen came out with her own book, however, she took on several private chef jobs and worked with a range of clients, from finance and Hollywood to one-off special occasions.
