Ashley Darby and husband Michael Darby greeted their second son on Tuesday March 2nd.
In a video shared with her Instagram stories, the Real Potomac housewives The actress confirmed her boy’s arrival as she lay in her hospital bed with the child, expressing disappointment at not being able to have her entire family with her at once.
“Hello my darlings. Thank you for the kind and warm wishes you sent us. This is our cute baby born today, ”Ashley began in a series of videos shared on her page.
“He is absolutely amazing and incredible and we are over the moon,” she continued.
The RHOP Star then explained that her husband had to leave the hospital, likely due to COVID-19 restrictions, to care for her oldest child.
“Michael just left the hospital to be with Dean and give him some love and it’s crazy how much I miss my son right now,” admitted Ashley.
“Even though I’m so happy and happy with this guy. I just want us all to be together as a family and I know it’s going to happen soon. I just miss her so much,” added Ashley.
While Ashley didn’t share the name of her second child or reveal any details about his size, she glanced at the back of his head, which was covered in dark hair, to her fans and followers.
“Thank you again,” concluded Ashley. “I love you all. I appreciate you all so much and this journey of motherhood just keeps getting better.”
Ashley first confirmed her pregnancy in September 2020 through an Instagram video showing one-year-old Dean wearing a t-shirt that said, “I’m going to be a big brother.” In the caption, Ashley had told her online audience that she and Michael were delighted to share their baby news.
“To say that we are grateful is an absolute understatement,” she wrote.
Just before Ashley revealed her pregnancy, she spoke to Bossip about what Michael had been like as the father of young Dean.
“Michael is an incredibly practical father. He is there for every waking moment with the baby, ”she shared. “I didn’t really understand what it would be like when a father was with his child. I learn and experience it too.”
