On episode 151 of the podcast, I met in person with fellow astrology podcasters Adam Sommer and Eugenia Krok, and we spent the afternoon answering questions sent by our show listeners.
In this episode, we cover topics that range from our experience of conducting a podcast and our beginnings, to feelings about exchanging money for astrological consultations, to advice to newer astrologers about mistakes we made early on in our careers.
We met at Adam’s home in Boulder on a snowy afternoon in Colorado. Somehow we all three do successful astrology podcasts and live in Colorado, but we never met to record an episode at the same time. As Eugenia is about to leave the country, we decided to take this last opportunity to record a discussion.
I brought some recording equipment that I’ve been slowly accumulating over the past few years as I’ve used some of the money that clients on my site donated through Patreon to build a personal podcasting studio. This was my first time really getting some of these devices up and running, and it went pretty well!
We decided to make it a full day and that afternoon we would record three separate podcast episodes for each of our shows, answering questions from listeners on each of our podcasts.
Each of us will then publish part of the discussion we had that day as an episode in our respective podcasts.
The first episode we recorded was this for The Astrology Podcast. The second part of this discussion will be published shortly by Adam on the Exploring Astrology Podcast and the third part by Eugenia on the Bridging Realities Podcast.
Be sure to subscribe to Adam and Eugenia’s podcasts to be notified when Parts 2 and 3 of this discussion are available.
Questions discussed in this episode
Here are some of the questions asked by listeners and used as a starting point for discussion in this episode on the Astrology podcast:
- What are your podcast origin stories and how did you get started or why did you want to start a podcast?
- Maria F: How has running a podcast affected your counseling practice?
- Belinda T: Are any of you planning your podcasts, articles, etc. using astrological techniques?
- Christina C: I am curious to see if ancient astrologers made their living as professionals working with astrology. I ask because in some astrology and New Age circles it seems a shame to make a living as an astrologer because it is considered by many to be “spiritual practice”.
- Maren A: Advice for newer astrologers or mistakes you made as a younger astrologer and which you now look back on.
In Adam’s episode, later published on his podcast, we focused on talking about Uranus’ invasion of Taurus and the relevance of that transit to things like cryptocurrency. In Eugenia’s episode, we discussed what happens when you feel like you are missing out on an astrological consultation, as well as several other questions.

I recorded both audio and video versions of this discussion. The audio quality in the audio-only version is slightly higher than the video version, but both are pretty good. You can watch the video version on my YouTube channel here:
