Survivors was one of the most challenging shows to run during the Covid-19 pandemic, but season 41 is finally going into production.
Host and executive producer Jeff Probst announced that the team is returning to Fiji to begin filming – a year after it was originally hoped for.
“Fiji invited us back to its beautiful country to film the 41st season. We have all set up our Covid protocols to keep everyone safe in Fiji, our entire crew to be safe and of course our players to be safe. I can’t remember a time when I was so pumped to shoot Survivors. The past year reminded me and I hope it reminded you that you have to live your life like it was one big adventure Survivors fulfills that so i am thrilled to say i will see you on the island Survivors 41. Let’s do it, ”he said in a video posted on social media.
Season 41 of the CBS Reality Contest Series was postponed to March 2020 – the day the WHO declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. The team had originally hoped to get back into production for a fall premiere in May 2020, but various challenges from COVID-19 have brought this to a standstill.
Survivors was originally on CBS’s fall schedule, but the network moved in July CLAP from mid-season to replace it with the upcoming season of The amazing racethat is in the can and moves from 9 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Last May, CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl said, “Regarding Survivors and The amazing raceWe will put these into production as soon as we can safely go back into production. It gets a little more complicated because we literally have to navigate some international waters. “
Survivors is produced by Probst, Mark Burnett and Matt VanWagenen.
