Legends and Bridge is a comedy starring former screen legend Joan Crawford (matronic, washed out, and spiked on Pepsi), who starred Judy Garland (recently fired from her CBS TV show) and Bette Davis (bitterly on No. longer the “Queen of Hollywood”) to her apartment in Manhattan in 1964 to live with her while they are working on a “secret” film project. Joan tries to get a sloppy Judy back into shape by putting her through an exercise program that Judy sees as a cat in a washing machine. At the same time she tries to spread small presents on Bette. After much nudging from Bette and Judy, Joan reveals that the project she is thinking of is a film adaptation of “St. Joan “with Judy and Bette, who play little characters as she appears as St. Joan:” Bette, you play my mother and Judy, you play the voices. “After every news that shakes the prosthesis, all hell breaks loose as every legend tries to assert its position as a top diva. There are back bites, catfights and skull digs. Throw a toy for boys, the bed, home with you and a drunk Tennessee Williams and watch the comedy unfold.
