Former Michigan quarterback Joe Milton plans to move to Tennessee, sources told ESPN on Monday.
Milton entered the transfer portal in February and is due to graduate in May, which will allow him to play for the Vols this season.
The Vols are looking for a starting quarterback as they move on to coach Josh Heupel’s new high-paced offense in the first year. Milton was a starter for Michigan in 2020. In five starts, he passed for 1,077 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions but was replaced in Michigan’s last game a year ago.
The 6-foot-5,243-pound Milton has three years of eligibility and is listed as an active student on the Tennessee Student Directory. He is well on his way to starting his academic studies in Tennessee in the summer semester.
Volquest.com was the first to report Milton’s upcoming transfer to Tennessee.
