The “plant-based meat” market is expected to boom, according to UBS, which highlighted a number of stocks that should benefit from the trend.
In a release last week, the investment bank announced that sales of these products will grow at an average annual growth rate of 30% and reach $ 51 billion through 2025.
Although more and more people are eating plant-based meat on a regular basis, according to a survey of over 3,000 consumers, UBS found that it was taste, not price, that kept people from trying it. Hence, the analysts said that ingredient companies are well positioned to address this stumbling block.
They also named other food stocks in the US and elsewhere that are said to be getting a boost as the sector grows.
