Never again – again for the road. The sexiest and most scandalous new pairing from The Bold and the Beautiful got the full attention of the TV Source team! What a scandal! Quinn woke with stars in his eyes, wrapped in Carter’s Egyptian cotton sheets as he petted her from behind. The lonely woman did not seem concerned about what had happened last night, and neither did her handsome companion.
While Zoe is in the office, concerned about Quinn’s conversation with Carter and the results she’s been able to get, Quinn wakes up with something better than coffee in her mug elsewhere. Zoe’s sister Paris arrives at the office and lets Zoe know that she didn’t see or hear Quinn. In a bed nearby, Quinn expresses gratitude for Carter’s considerable talents.
“Is it possible that you have built more muscle since last night? Last night was amazing. ”
Quinn lay in bed basking in the glow of the desired feeling. She had no complaints or regrets about her night with the tall, dark, and handsome young man. She seemed impressed with his attention and dedication to making her feel desired.
Quinn tracks his muscular form, strokes his face, and goes on to tell how amazing it was to feel as close to someone as she had felt to Carter the night before and what the two of them look like when Quinn’s phone takes another round of “closeness.” “Strives for things. Realizing that Zoe contacted her with questions about her conversation with Carter, Quinn goes into a frenzy.
It is only at this point that she begins to realize the gravity of her decision to put Carter to bed. She tosses her cell phone aside and speaks out her mistake. She’s a cheat now. The realization makes her stagger, while Carter just looks on in amazement.
As Quinn begins to unravel, as does Carter when he realizes that he has betrayed not only a person he sees as family, but also his boss. He is now afraid of the consequences of discovering their escape. He also admits how damaging this could be to his friendships and working relationships with the Forresters.
All over town, Zoe is waiting for correspondence for an AWOL Quinn just as Quinn and Carter find the right measures to hide their night together. Both agree that it can never be talked about or repeated, but somewhere in between they agree that the night was wonderful. At that moment, you can clearly see Carter realizing he made a real connection without actually admitting it out loud.
Quinn is guilty and thinking about how she cheated on Zoe and Eric, but you can see the longing in her eyes as she admits that Carter has been the only one who has been there for her for the past few months. She even goes so far as to represent Zoe’s case while she is still naked under his covers. Carter agrees to remain a mother on the matter, but he still holds on to not taking Zoe back. It is clear that he has moved on.
Once they finally come to an agreement, Quinn shows her hand by saying she needs a cold shower before work and she leaves to leave. Carter silently agrees for about two seconds and then everything changes. Carter grabbed her shoulder, ran his hand over the back of her arm and then down her trembling back, lighting another fire between them.
Carter brushed his hair back from his face and leaned in for another passionate kiss, which Quinn didn’t refuse. Bold also has this ability to let you know when things are going to break out, and it’s very obvious when a familiar little jingle starts playing. Carter puts them back on his covers and covers Quinn with his body. She is all too happy to accept. Again, her wedding ring is the third wheel in this encounter, but none of the willing participants seem to mind as this hot, steamy affair extends beyond the night in question.
When their second encounter comes to an end, Quinn and Carter still don’t seem to regret their Tryste. They are comforted in the knowledge that their bond is real and want to keep their friendship intact as they continue to navigate and keep such a great secret. And I would add that the longing and sincere looks tell the story of an affair that is most unfinished.
Quinn eventually gets out of Carter’s bed and finds himself in an awkward conversation with Zoe about her efforts to reunite the doomed duo. Quinn half listens as Zoe admits her gratitude and Carter pours her heart out. Quinn mentally relives her aphrodisiac moments when Zoe wanders into the area to talk about her intimacy with Carter. Quinn is taken aback and tries to brush aside her obvious discomfort. She is further affected when Carter himself shows up. You could use a knife to loosen the tension between the two bedfellows.
Zoe shifts her focus to Carter and lets Quinn slip out of the room, much to Carter’s dismay. As Zoe speaks, it is his turn to remember his flirtatious encounter last night and morning. His guilt causes him to actually listen to Zoe more than he has in the recent past, but he shows no signs of wanting to make up. His mind is only flooded with Quinn, and Zoe is no smarter. She has obvious questions about Carter’s new behavior towards her, but she is unable to connect the dots about her night.
Over at the Forrester mansion, Quinn tells Shauna to discharge her guilt. Shauna is confused at first, but quickly comes to the right conclusion when Quinn allows her to feel wanted and to be touched. Shauna repeats in surprise: “Touched?” And Quinn then reveals to her friend that she actually had a night of passion that fed her neglected desires.
While Shauna questions Quinn’s decision to be unfaithful, Eric arrives at Forrester Creations fresh from his business trip and begins a terrible conversation about his sex life with his son and the mother of two of his children, who also happen to be his daughter-in-law, Brooke. Brooke salivates over the gap in Eric’s marriage while Ridge tries to offer advice. Ridge seems to want her luck, while Brooke revels in the knowledge that Quinn may soon be outcast. Brooke’s hypocrisy was disgusting to a large part of the audience. She obviously did much worse than Quinn to cause the breakup.
While Quinn continues to share the details of their affair, Shauna pauses as Quinn describes their forbidden night as unbelievable. She then hyper-focuses on getting the identity of Quinn’s Cicisbeo. Quinn continues to pique her interest when she reveals that the man is a friend and Shauna is lying on the floor to learn that Carter is the man in question.
Shauna lists all of the reasons this particular man is more dangerous than anyone and then surprisingly seems to change her tune, noting that it is Carter and I quote “hot as hell”. She continues, “Sounds like a good night,” and Quinn agrees that she thoroughly enjoyed every bad minute, but says it can’t happen again. She swears that one night she can’t ruin her marriage, and to her utter shock, Eric walks in and explains that he overheard her. Eric starts demanding answers, but Shauna enters and covers, explaining that the night in question was none other than the night Quinn and Shauna Ridge and Brookes sabotaged a stalled marriage that would likely have ended ages ago should. Eric seems to accept this answer, but not without reservations. He no longer trusts Quinn. Shauna can reach the Forrester Matriarch and Quinn sneaks out.
Brooke and Felony Flo return to Forrester Creations and have a conversation that is no business if Carter overhears. He quickly points out that while Quinn made mistakes, he loves her husband. Brooke begins to realize that Carter is defending Quinn and develops that little look she always gets when trying to interfere in other people’s affairs.
The week ends with Quinn sneaking up on Carter. She explains to Carter that Shauna knows about their rendezvous, but assures him that her secret is safe with Shauna. Carter is still unsure, but when Quinn begins to doubt the state of their marriage, he steps in to praise her. The attraction is imminent as they gleefully agree that they will never be together again. That takes two seconds before they fall into another round of “comfort”. This has been an exhilarating ride with Quarter so far.
And I wouldn’t be sure if I didn’t say what I hope doesn’t happen. The rumors have got around in the bold community, and to offer my two cents for Quarter, I hope there isn’t a pregnancy scandal / who’s the daddy story for it. Sometimes we just need a little spice. Adding babies to the mix isn’t always the draw some think. Quinn already has a grown son who, for lack of better words, is not in the least entertaining with the plot he is in. We don’t need kids screwing up what could be one of the best things to do in recent history.
Quinn and Carter could be a storyline goldmine if done right. Carter is finally getting a few much-needed shifts outside of conducting weddings only to be canceled months later, and Quinn is getting the steamy bad girl material that has been withheld from her since she became Mrs. Forrester.
As one of the people watching and tweeting live, I can confirm that the majority of us were cheering that there was some ridicule, but that’s to be expected with a controversial story like this one. I personally missed that kind of scandal and sexuality from Bold, and as always, Rena and Lawrence, chemistry is not on the charts. You nail this story. I’m really excited to see where this is going. I hope to get a full blown affair with all the bells and whistles.
The Bold and the Beautiful airs on CBS weekdays.
