How would you go about doing this?
Provided you have to earn it legally.
And I add that you should also do this within ethical and moral boundaries.
So how are you going to make $ 1000 fast?
Think about it for a minute. Now think about it for a minute.
- How are you going to do it
- Where will you start
- If you can do it once successfully, would you try again (and again)?
This effectively forms the roots of entrepreneurship and what people need to do when working for themselves or for a company. By thinking about the revenue generation model in this way, you can become more valuable as an independent consultant or employee in a company. When you begin to master the model of generating revenue generating actions (including indirect ones), you will stand out from others in your career.
I mention this based on a book I just finished called Shortcut Your Startup by Courtney Reum and Carter Reum. You asked that question and I think. If you can use this model to make a quick $ 1,000, why can’t you use the same model to find a higher dollar amount or repeat it on a regular basis? If you want to continue these efforts:
- What process would you go through?
- Would you use the same model every week?
- How would you go about raising the dollar amounts and being true to yourself?
This ties in with the Amazon leadership principle, a “Bias to Action“- which is absolutely necessary to earn the first $ 1,000. And more importantly for the next $ 1000 and beyond.
$ 1000 is a good starting point
If you can make a quick $ 1000 and can repeat that weekly, you could be in pretty decent shape.
That’s an average of $ 52,000 a year. That is twice the US poverty line.
And depending on where you live, you could be pretty good.
This $ 1,000 would be $ 25 an hour if distributed weekly, assuming a typical 40-hour week.
Could you survive with that?
The simple answer is yes.
The US poverty line is $ 25,190 a year for a family of four. (Source: US HHS)
Could you live well on this sum?
That’s up to you. Everyone can decide what lives well according to their own definition.
But the point is, if you can do something that can quickly (and legally, of course) make you $ 1000, then why can’t you do that every week for a full year.
So where are you going to start?
For me, I would start by turning to friends.
I would ask them if they have projects that just need extra hands, eyes, or extra cycles to accomplish something.
It sounds a little simple and maybe a little weird. But those are the roots of entrepreneurship.
Appreciating your time
Ultimately, it comes down to how you value your time. And, of course, how other people perceive you and value their dollar.
Some people don’t have to work 40 hours to make those thousand dollars.
If you can do more and / or ask for more, you have the option to increase that dollar to around $ 2000 or more.
And as you get better and better at it (that is, get your entrepreneurial spirit up to speed), you can potentially grow your skills to $ 5,000, $ 10,000 or more.
The sky is the limit. But the ability to make $ 1000 quickly is a starting point.
You must ask
The old adage, “If you don’t ask, you won’t get anything” is truer than ever when you’re trying to make your first thousand dollars fast. The good news is that it gets easier with practice. If you can quickly find your way to the first thousand dollars, you will find that a similar method works to get to the next thousand and the next and the next. Repeatability, volume, and speed will increase as you improve.
Some will love it and stand out. Others don’t like it, but if they can apply the model recommended by the Reum brothers, which they ponder and maybe actually make their first $ 1,000, they will learn a lot about themselves.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
