BOSTON (CBS) – You just can’t make that up. After three days of record heat in southern New England, our weather will change significantly just in time for the July 4th weekend. You wouldn’t know
Granted, a little change wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing, I mean I doubt many of you want 100 degree heat while cooking on the grill. But here in New England we don’t make “small weather changes”, we like to go big. I would say a 40 degree drop in daily highs between Wednesday and Saturday would be considered large. Or how about 1-4 inches of rain for the next 48-72 hours? So dramatic enough for you?
OK, before you start losing your mind, let me step back a little. Let me start with the good news: this weekend isn’t going to be nearly as cool or wet as Memorial Day weekend. Maybe you blocked that? Let me remind you of this for a moment. . .
Friday, May 28th: 62 degrees, 1.1 “rainfall
Saturday, May 29th: 51 degrees, 1.1 “rainfall
Sunday May 30th: 51 degrees, 0.7 “rainfall
Monday, May 31st: 62 degrees, 0.2 “rainfall
This has been a bad holiday weekend ever for anyone with outdoor plans. This weekend isn’t going to be that bad. . .
